Activities of electricity distribution companies were crippled
yesterday by organised labour as DISCOs, and power plants in seven
states were shut down over alleged extortionist tariff without power to
Nigerians, amongst others.
According to reports, the DISCOs and generation companies GENCOs, across the country since last week had dispatched disengagement letters to over 60 per cent of workers they allegedly planned to sack from tomorrow.
