Most residents, including women and children, spent the night in the open as they watched their property being swept away.When our reporter visited some places, there were household items scattered all over. Many were busy scooping water from their houses.The flood was caused by blocked drainage and the narrow nature of some channels, which could not contain the high volume of water.
