The New York Police Department said that they arrested 48-year-old Karen Shearon, for threatening to blow up her 15-year-old daughter’s school after learning that she had failed a Regents exam.
According to the police investigation, an employee of the Susan E. Wagner school called Shearon on Tuesday morning, to tell her that her 15-year-old daughter failed the standardized test.
Shearon became extremely angry and said: “I'm going to blow up the school.” Shearon was released from jail on her own recognizance.
Shearon denied the allegations, saying that if she made such a threat the school would have been evacuated.
