Rivers INEC fails to issue certificate of return to winners of the house of assembly election

INEC National Commissioner in charge of Akwa ibom, cross rivers and rivers state, Thelma Iremiren says the winners of the house of assembly election held in rivers state will not be receiving their certificate of return today.

Iremiren stated this during the presentation of certificate event held at the INEC state headquarters in port harcourt.

She said only the Governor elected and his deputy plus the winners of the national assembly elections in the state will be handed their certificates. She said the house of assembly is being left out because elections are yet to be concluded at that level.

Resident electoral commissioner, Gesila Khan charged the newly elected members not to see their victories as personal successes.
