Barcelona weigh up stunning swoop for Harry Kane

Barcelona are plotting a stunning move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane once their transfer embargo is over, according to the Metro.

The Catalan giants are unable to sign new players until January of 2016, but could make Kane their first target when the embargo lifts, it is claimed by  the Metro.

They also claim the 21-year-old England international, who scored just 79 seconds into his debut against Lithuania, has impressed Barcelona scouts in recent months.

A product of the Spurs youth academy, Kane has been superb in all competitions this season and has been named alongside Diego Costa as a striker in the PFA Team of the Year.

Kane has scored an incredible 20 goals in 30 Premier League appearances under Mauricio Pochettino in this, his breakthrough season.

The Spurs man has a 29% shot conversion in the league this season, which eclipses the 24% achieved by Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney.
